Workout Schedule

Forgot to mention, my workout schedule can be seen in the sidebar.
If you can't find the sidebar, here's the link: Workout Schedule

Difficult, But Not Impossible

I know this will sound a little silly, but I only just came to accept that my workout will be difficult for me, every single week. Just because I can do it and have made it as doable as I can within a reasonable amount of time doesn't mean it's easy. It's definitely not.

Sundays are the easiest. By that time, my body has done the same workout six days in a row, it knows what to expect and has acclimated to the condition. Mondays, though harder, aren't usually too bad, because my body is pretty well recovered from the last step-up. However, Tuesdays through Thursdays or Fridays are pretty brutal. I feel weak from the first set in. It feels like a major accomplishment each time I finish a set on those days. But, as I mentioned, when Sunday rolls around, I find I can just pound those sets out like a champ, and if I do get tired, it's generally only on the last set.

As long as I keep ramping it up every week, my workout won't get easier, but I suspect it won't get harder either. :)

First Post

So...this is my workout Blog.

Here's why this blog even exists:
Just over 4 weeks ago, I promised my wife that I'd do push-ups every day for at least a month, and in exchange she'd let me have 4 sandwiches that night.

The deal was sealed, and I've so far held up my end of the bargain.

However, shortly after we made this agreement, I thought to myself, "why stop there?".
In response to this thought, I came up with a plan. An aggressive but do-able (and not too painful) plan which would have me eventually doing 1000 push-ups a day. 1000. :)

I have no idea if I'll have enough to say here on a regular basis for this blog to be very readworthy, but I figure it'll be an amusing window to my past, if nothing else.

I'll post the workout schedule as soon as I decide where to put it and how to make it pretty.
